Zachary G. Darrow
Managing Partner
Mr. Darrow’s practice concentrates in the area of commercial real estate and general business law. He has expertise in all aspects of commercial real estate law, including commercial leasing, acquisitions and sales, development, land use/permitting, lending and equity transactions, sale leaseback transactions, condominium formation and operations, and 1031 exchange (forward and reverse). He currently represents regional and national retailers, regional and national developers, landlords and tenants of all types of commercial properties, lenders and equity participants (institutional and private) and various non-real estate based entities with their business law needs.
Among many other matters and projects, Mr. Darrow has worked extensively with a Fortune 100 retailer in its site acquisition and ground leasing program; and together with Mr. Everett has created the legal structure and documentation for one of Rhode Island’s largest high-end waterfront condominium and resort developments. Mr. Darrow also has extensive experience in general business law matters, including formation, business planning and growth strategies, financing and equity transactions, equity fund creation, joint ventures, executive contracts, and business dispositions and acquisitions.
Prior to co-founding DarrowEverett LLP, Mr. Darrow was a partner at a highly regarded Boston and Providence based law firm. Mr. Darrow is also a former real estate executive with several organizations, including a Fortune 100 retailer, and served as President of Real Estate for a subsidiary of a well known New York based hedge fund.
The Rhode Island Supreme Court, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, the Connecticut Supreme Court and the Vermont Supreme Court license their respective lawyers in the general practice of law, but do not license or certify any lawyer as an expert or specialist in any field of practice.
