Ian C. Ridlon

Mr. Ridlon is a litigator concentrating in the areas of business, commercial real estate, construction, and environmental litigation. Mr. Ridlon has been involved in numerous types of cases including commercial leasing disputes and evictions, construction litigation and arbitration, and complex business disputes. He has also represented several municipalities and municipal entities in litigation, including a dispute that was successfully resolved before the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Ridlon has been actively involved in several Superfund cases throughout New England. He has represented potentially responsible parties (“PRP’s”) both prosecuting and defending against cost recovery actions, and has also represented clients in proceedings involving the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and the Coastal Resources Management Council in both the regulatory and permitting areas. Mr. Ridlon also represents clients in commercial disputes relating to software design, intellectual property disputes, construction litigation and arbitration, and complex business disputes. Mr. Ridlon has written a number of articles for legal and environmental journals, including the Rhode Island Bar Journal and New England's Environment, and has also taught preparatory courses for the National Association of Securities Dealers Level 6 Examination.
The Rhode Island Supreme Court, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, the Connecticut Supreme Court and the Vermont Supreme Court license their respective lawyers in the general practice of law, but do not license or certify any lawyer as an expert or specialist in any field of practice.
