Overview

Christina Papillo is an Associate in DarrowEverett’s Commercial Real Estate Practice Group with experience guiding clients through every stage of their most complex transactional commercial real estate matters. Christina’s practice covers all aspects of ground and space leasing, land use and development, planned communities, and acquisitions and dispositions across numerous asset classes including office, retail, hotel, hospitality, residential, multifamily and condominium.

Christina brings a valuable international perspective to both her worldview and her approach to serving clients, having studied internationally in Ireland, the U.K. and Hong Kong during the course of obtaining her master’s degree from New York University and J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.

Representative Matters

  • Assisted a nationwide retail department store in connection with the sale and leaseback of over 120 properties across the United States, which included drafting, reviewing and counseling the client through highly negotiated disposition and lease documents.

  • Assisted a leading hotel group in connection with the acquisition and construction of a premier glamping site in the Northeast, which included reviewing site plans together with title, survey and zoning review.

  • Counseled a premier nationwide storage company on the acquisition of a Miami property. This included reviewing the building’s formation documents, conducting and coordinating due diligence and drafting relevant purchase documents.

  • Assisted a leading nationwide insurance company in the acquisition of two major luxury apartment buildings in Phoenix and Chicago, which included reviewing the building’s organizational documents, coordinating due diligence, and drafting relevant purchase documents.

  • Represented a major real estate investment trust in recording light and air easements for several Manhattan properties. This included thorough research on New York City bureaucracies covering such matters, and the drafting of necessary documents to be approved by NYC and the title company.

Prior Experience

Before joining DarrowEverett, Christina served as an Associate for an international AmLaw 100 firm focusing on all aspects of ground and space leasing, land use and development, planned communities, acquisitions and dispositions. She also has experience as a legal assistant at an executive compensation boutique law firm in NYC.
